The End of the Iraq War

Let's say Bush won't end the Iraq War prior tohis departure from office.

Let's say the Iraqis won't settle their differences prior to Bush's retirement.

Let's say the suppliers of the insurgents won't stop, until we leave Iraq.

A problem with three forces at work against us.

In 1969, Nixon faced the Soviet Union, China, and Vietnam.

In 1953, Eisenhower faced Korea, China, and the Soviet Union.

In 2009, we face Iraq, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

Different region, but the same triangle.

Inside Iraq, we face the Kurds who are our friends, the Sunnis, and the Shiites.

Kurdish Iraq is a self-governing and economically prosperous nation.

The Kurds want their independence, but Syria, Iran, and Turkey become nervous due to the fact that they each have Kurdish minorities within their borders.

A Semi-Sovereign Kurdish Nation created outside the former nation of Iraq would be the compromise.

The Sunni Triangle will not be stabilized because they fear the Shiite Arab Majority.

So I think a policy of containment of this area is called for at least in the short run.  The analogy is Lebanon.

The Shiite Arabs want to join up with Iran and vice wersa.

That salvage's the oil and we get Iran to take over the policing of the area.

The Saudis have been building a fence along the border with Iraq for the last 18 months.

Personally, I lay a mine field, put up barbed wired fences, dig ditches, and release dogs into a neutral zone area.

Muslims don't like dogs.

As for Saudi Arabia and Iran.

The Saudis are the Communist Russia of the Iraq War and Iran is the China.

If and when Saudi Arabia goes off in revolution they will have a radical government and they will take the entire Arabian Pennisula with them.

Iran is the only country in the region close enough and powerful enough to act as a counter balance to the new Saudi Arabia.

Egypt is on the other side of the red sea and may be of good use as an ally.

No Child Left Behind Act

No Child Left Behind is a law that is a piece of trash.  In that teachers, are forced to teach to test the students.

I have a low opinion of public education to begin with due to my own experience, but that is beside the point.

Our children are forced to work on school related studies all day and into the night without time to do those things that come natural to them like physical activity.

Basically, our children are stressed out and over worked, which is not a good use of a child's time.

Statistics can be bent any number of ways to suit anybody's purpose.

I made Cs and Ds in public school and I have four college degrees.

My point is simple, if your going to train them then train them for jobs in the real world rather than teaching them subjects only two percent of the American Population is ever going to use.

Human Resource Development is a better approach than teaching kids biology, physics, chemistry, trigonometry, english gramar for 12th year in a row.  Most of these subjects are taught because they want you well-rounded and show you everything, but they end up accomplishing nothing.

Finally, the human mind can only absorb 10% of what it see's each day and with kids who usually don't have self discipline its even lower.  Also, we learn 90% of what we are taught through visual learning rather than auditory or hand's on.

Republicans and Democrats

Romney, Bill Clinton, and Obama are three of a kind.

Each think's with their mouths instead of with their heads.

Romney talk's nonstop on the issue of economics, which look's substantive in a way.  Unfortunately, he doesn't stop and think through what he is going to say.

I have watched him on the OReilly Factor back in 2005.  He looked and acted like a human being.  Now, he's like using machine gun logic in his presentation without thinking through the cost of his words.

I could have voted for him two years and being a Mormon is no disqualification for not being President.  At least not in my mind.

Bill Clinton is an extrovert par excellent.  Yes, he did some good things like maintaining a healthy economy, ending welfare dependency, and staying out of any major foreign policy disasters.  He had a penchant for getting into trouble then blaming everyone else beside's himself.  He could not leave the women alone.

He campaign's because he get's an adrenaline rush from it, but its more for him than Hillary.

From what I can see, I really don't think Hillary want's to be President.

She would like the substance of the job, but the ceremonial side of the job she doesn't care about.

Obama is a new phenomenom in American Politics.

He has great inerpersonal intelligence, but he doesn't have great intrapersonal intelligence.

Everybody project's through emotions onto to him and he give's a good speech, but that's about it.

If you ever read comic books like I have you would know that Obama is the personification of a character called Baron Blood.  A character that is an emotional vampire who draw's all the emotions out of people, but doesn't give anything in return.

Yes, he talk's about an idealistic unity theme, but that play's better in Hollywood or in a Church.

Politics is a game for adults and not idealistic idiots.

The Federal Government is a complex organization that require's a president, congressperson, and senator to be well versed in a multitude of areas.

We need professionals and not amateurs.

John McCain and the Conservatives

John McCain has been in Congress for 25 years.  Can he effect change?

That come's down to a few key skills that do not include vision like John Kennedy's, which we paid for over a 17 year period after his assassination.

The key abilities in this area are insight, political skill, and interpersonal skill.

Nixon had insight into a lot of issues, but his forte was foreign policy.

Franklin Roosevel, Lyndon Johnson, and Abraham Lincoln had the most political skill.

Interpersonal Skills is an important ability.  Clinton had this skill in abundance.

Conservatives don't like McCain because he won't toe the party line right down to crossing the t's and dotting the I's.

McCain appeal's to the broad middle of the voting public.  Ironically, he is a better general election candidate than a primary candidate.

Conservatives of the ideological variety have litmus tests that no one other than Reagan could pass.

I have no problem with mainstream national security conservatives and mainstream economic conservatives.

My problem and McCain's could be those conservatives who are cultural and religious conservatives.

McCain will never know peace with the right wing.  Nixon didn't know it, Eisenhower didn't know peace, Ford didn't know peace, and even Reagan in his own time didn't know have total peace with them.

The Radical Right and the Reactionary Left do not have the country's best interest at heart.  They see through the very narrow lense of ideology or the science of ideas.

Meaning, that the extremists in both parties view politics as a science rather than from its practical aspects.

Political Philosophy is based on practical wisdom rather than a science.

McCain symbolize's political philosophy rather than ideology.  So he won't appeal to ideological conservatives, but he will appeal to voters who represent the broad middle

Issues to Campaign on

It look's like McCain will be the nominee.  At least in the current environment.

It seem's like everyone is going through twists and turns in developing their political judgement or should I say what to vote on.

There are four areas on which to vote: Domestic Policy, Economic Policy, Defense Policy, and Foreign Policy.

In the economic policy area, I would suggest dealing with debt, tax simplification, preventing rising inflation, and keeping unemployment low.

In essence, talk about the merits of capitalism, the free market, and free enterprise.

In domestic affairs, I would suggest appointing libertarians to judicial positions, minimize abortions, bring domestic spending into line with reality, which include's entitlements.

In Defense Policy, I would suggest a simple campaign promise: rebuild the military and limit our foreign conflicts to the Islamic Radicals.

in Foreign Policy, I would end our participation in the Iraq War, while continuing our wider war on Islamic Fascism.  We need to rebuild our alliances with Europe, Japan, Australia. South Africa, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria.  Plus Israel.

Finally, we need to cement our new friendship with Russia, while restructuring our alliances in East Asia.

Human Resources

Human Resources is an important part of any government or corporation.

If you don't have the right people in the key positions a leader/manager will have a harder time getting things done.

Washington had good people.  Lincoln had good people.  Both Roosevelts had good people.

Eisenhower had good people.  Nixon had good foreign policy people.  Reagan had a good white house staff in the first term and the second half of the second term.

Eisenhower's people never had a bod word to say about him.

Reagan's people had mixed opinions of him.

There are several forces at work in any selection process:  The White House has to appeal to political forces based on gender, region, ideology, experience, and Congressional Input.

The four key posts in the next administration are Defense, AG, State, and Treasury.

The other cabinet departments are of secondary importance unless the President appoint's someone for future roles in the administration

Other appointments at the secondary level in an administration are usually picked by the Office of Presidential Personnel in the White House.

A President need's to be careful who he appoint's as director of presidential personnel.

Public Administration is taught by a lot of Universities at the Master's Level.

Public Administration experience come's on the campaign trail, in executive offices, and in lawmakers offices.

The Logistics of assembling an administration is not easy, but when a leader/manager take's an active interest in it.  Then the work product of subordinates is better

Oil

The origin of the Iraq lie's to the south in Saudi Arabia.

A book was published two years called Secrets of the Kingdom.

The Saudi Royal Family has been financing all of these radicals throughout the wider Middle East, Europe, Africa, North America, and East Asia.

The Mosques, Terrorist Training Camps, and Madrasas throughout the Muslim world that can be classified as Islamofascist have been funded fully by the Saudi Royal Family.

The Interior Miinister and Saudi King are of this islamofascist ilk.

Syria and Iran have lousy public images, but behind closed doors they are our friends.

Bashir Assad in Syria is a man we can do business with on several levels.

The cleric in charge in Iran Khamenie is an ally of the United States.

Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco have their Islamofascist problems, but their governments have control of the situation.

The Europeans would prefer that we stay out of Africa because they view it as their responsibility.

Somalia is being cleaned up by Ethiopian Military Forces.

Eritrea, Sudan, and Egypt are signing economic and military agreements with us.

Israel is much more secure today than it was two years ago.

Our Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Army are constructing bases all around the Arabian Pennisula.

Why?  Because the Saudi Royal Family has indoctrinated their young people in the Islamofascist ideology.

Out of a population of 19 Million people 12 to 13 million are under the age of 30 with no hope of a future with economic and social security.

Drugs, Adultery, laziness, and genral unease this population has become degenerate.

The Oil Production Infrastructure has a network of explosives throughout it.

In case of invasion or revolution, the Saudi Royal Family will explode that oil production infrastructure.

The world would lose access to that oil almost immediately causing a world wide depression.

For the last two years the oil companies have bee setting up an oil production infrastructure in Russia to replace the Saudi source.

That is why gas prices went up so the oil companies could do this thing.

The best books you will find on International Relations in this area are books on Eisenhower at places like Amazon.coml.  Particularly books by Stephen Ambrose who was Eisenhower's Official biographer.

Saudi Arabia is ready to go off in Revolution and we will spend the next 50 years practicing containment of Saudi Arabia.

Bush went into Iraq because Iraq had the second largest oil reserves in the world at that time to replace the loss of Saudi Oil.  Unfortunately, people in most 3rd world countries have long memories of occupation by European nations.  They see us following in that tradition.

Finally, the Clerics run Islamic Countries and not their politicians.  That's how their populations see it and Bush for some reason refuse's to see it.

Iraq was a convenient target of opportunity and the national security community didn't know anything about weapons of mass production in Iraq prior to the invasion.

Ironic, Bush is an evangelical Christian and yet he does not understand the biblical nature of the culture of the Middle East.

Iran does not want a nuke, but nuclear power.  Russian Federation Personnel exercise tight control over the facilities and nuclear material.

Bush is going to go down as the worst president since James Buchanan.  Iron Resolve, but no flexibility.

Constructive Years

Good paying jobs are hard to find in the current economy.

Reagan provide's a good model for job creation although there is some dispute on how high paying they were and in what areas of the economy they were in.  Shall we say service industry jobs.

Clinton is a good model for job creation, but his economic policies were not an original blend.  They were Alan Greenspan's ideas from the 1950s.  Specifically, Eisenhower Economic Policies.

Eisenhower had 3 short recessions, but they were corrected by the use of his economic philosophy.

Raymond J. Saulier detail's in his writings on Eisenhower.

Republicans would do well to get back to these ideas, which do not include massive tax cuts.  Although Eisenhower was for tax cuts.

Peace, Prosperity, and Progress were his motto.

Politicians in the 60s went to one extreme, drifted in in the 1970s, and went to the other extreme in the 1980s.

For the most part, I consider Eisenhower as a Libertarian and I consider Reagan to a lesser extent a Libertarian.

Libertarians like me believe in smaller government, social tolerance, and a self-defense posture in foreign policy.

Reagan and Eisenhower I think followed these principles as best as they could considering the political environment they operated in

Management of Prosperity

McCain and Romney are fighting it out on leader and manager around the issue of economics.

That's fine and dandy since the public and other candidates are talking on this issue each day.

A President is both a leader and manager as well as an economic manager.

A leader set's direction, offer's a vision, set's the term's of debate.

A manager deal's in organization of personel and resources.

McCain has national leadership experience, but war for the wrong reason turn's people off.

Romney has national management experience, but lack's concrete direction.

Another difference between the two men is the fact that their are politicians and corporate types who are hedgehogs, while others are foxes.

A fox know's fifty things and accomplishes nothing, which is Mitt Romney.

A Hedgehog know's one or two big things and accomplishes a lot.

McCain has not really defined himself in either way.

A President cannot control the economy directly, but he has tools at his disposal to help the economy run.

Trade Policy, Tax Policy, Fiscal Policy, Regulatory Authority, Legal Authority, and several other areas of authority.

He can appoint people to key positions who share his philosophy with the consent of Congress.

A President is a Manager of Prosperity with indirect control over the economy.

Again, Romney know's too much, while McCain hasn't defined himself on economics

Republican Debate

The Republicans had an interesting debate.

Romney is strong on economics.

McCain is strong on defense.

Rudy talk's about New york.

Huckabee is a nice guy.

Ron Paul has the ideas.

I guess the question is who would be the best all around leader.

Normally, you would think an executive or senator, but none of them have all the right credentials.

I known this merry go ound of I win this state and you win that state is going to continue, but it is nerve racking to the candidates and their staffs.

Some sort of change is coming.  The question everyone is asking is in what way it will go.
