REJOINING THE MILITARY.
I am 41 years of age.
I served in the Air Force Reserve back in the late 1980s.
Everyone at some point should do some form of public service.
I am reconsidering joining the Military in some Guard or Reserve Capacity.
I have studied the documentation of the North Carolina National Guard.
It would seem that if you are prior military that they might take you back as say an officer.
I used to be disabled, but now I have had my disability corrected.
I am overweight, but its all muscle.
I stand about 6"6', see almost normal, and I am in good health.
I have a lousy job history, but lots of education and lots of indirect experience.
I get angry easily, but always correct on the second try.
I did not serve in Desert Storm and that is a personal failure.
I did not understand how stupid George Bush is in 2000 and I did not work hard enough to get rid of him in 2004.
I desecrated a lot of things in the last few years trying to housebroken him.
In my own military historian judgement, Iraq 1 was a qualified success and Iraq 2 is a disaster.
War is for professionals being in all the right positions and Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the neoconservatives think about war, but they do not practice it.
I am looking for a North Carolina National Guard Job as a Commissioned Officer, but waivers need to be put in place.
Human Resources says go where your talents lie.
Human Resources is all I do anymore.
That's what its all about: people.
At the beginning of World War II, I think Congress set up a draft for men and women from the ages of 18 to 50.
At the beginning of the civil war, the officer corp was filled with veterans who had retired after the Mexican War.
So yes age requirements can be changed to fit circumstances.
Yes, we all have ways of dealing with regulations and such.
This is my last blog at this website.
It is not that I do not want to continue blogging, but being in the military full time I am supposing is against regulations. That is if you want to keep your job.
