Nuclear Power.

We've had nuclear power since the 1950s.

There have been two accidents since that time: Chernobyl and Three Mile Island.

The technology of today is a lot safer than 25 years ago.

Its clean energy, except for the radioactive waste.

Do we have a way of storing the waste or reusing it or destroying it.

Its cheap energy for the most part.

European Countries use it widely in their power systems.

Yucca Mountain may or may not be a good place to store the waste.

I just wonder if there is some area in the South Pacific where it could be stored, reprocessed or destroy with little effect on the environment or people.

Its a long term solution to an energy problem that is only going to get bigger as time goes by.

In essence, I support nuclear power as a solution to the energy problem, but I am wondering why we haven't looked to the South Pacific for a disposal site.
