The United States Senate without Senator Ted Kennedy.
The institution would move its agenda more towards the middle.
The Senate would work in a less ideological way.
The Senate would lose one of its most experienced members.
The Senate would be a less stressful place for the Senators who remain.
Liberal Democrats in the Senate would have to redefine themselves and their ideas.
Conservative Republicans would lose their greatest fundraising tool.
It is a wound on the institutional machinery of the senate and a liberation from Kennedy's personal indescretions.
The Kennedy Family may have seen the end of the career of their greatest member.
