How do you apply the law?
Criminals at the state level face an interesting situation in that District Attorneys have limited resources to try and convict them.
Plea Bargains are the rule.
Government Cronyism is a problem.
I have politicians get a free ride from the criminal justice system simply because their an officeholder or a former one.
The internal networks of state government prevent a fair and justifiable application of the law.
Prisons are overcrowded as we speak and convicts are let go early because of bleeding heart judges.
No one said, prison time would be comfortable or fun.
If I was a lawmaker, I would vote more money for District Attorneys and Prison Space and vote against judges who are too interested in comfort.
