A Guest Worker program leave's the United States with people who are not citizens, but pay taxes.
What's the motto of the revolution? No Taxation without Representation.
I do not know at any time in American History when there ever was a guest worker program.
Europe has them, but I do not know the success or failure of them.
I know a lot of our domestic population is stressed out so they may be interested in agricultural jobs where you do not have to think.
ILLegal aliens should be given visas along the lines of those given upper level immigrant workers.
Professionals and Manual Labor Workers should be treated the same since their both here to work.
Eventually, if illegal immigrants become too numerous you get social problems like we are beginning to experience.
If you are going to work here you need to be proficient in the language, culture, and laws of the United States.
A certain number of visas should be extended to these people who work in agricultural, construction, and other manual labor jobs.
We have too maintain law and order in this area at a time of a terror war, but where does security end and work begin.
They should register with the Labor Department, FBI, and the proper state agencies.
If they commit a crime then the penalty should be harsh so that they understand were not going to tolerate lawlessness.
