Racism is the ongoing curse of American History.
The hard core right follows the mantra of what the press might call, "The soft bigotry of low expectations".
The Liberal Democrats say civil rights like it is a mantra.
The problem as usual is you cannot legislate morality.
Racism is more like hate or jealousy of Black Peoples empowerment by the Democrats and weak Republicans.
However, Knowledge is Power and you need to know where to start.
It can be found at Barnes and Noble in the African American Section with a book called The 1001 Things you need to know about African Americans.
Its a history of their accomplishments I picked 5 or 6 years ago that details their contributions to our collective history.
Yes, some of it is hard to believe and I don't believe all of it, but it is worth reading.
I have had intense encounters with African Americans on occasion mainly based on my own stupidity of their way of doing business.
Libertarian Republicans offer a way that is not wholly government oriented more of a private sector approach.
Libertarian Republicans offer the model of economic success as a way to attain independence rather than government programs.
Libertarian Republicans have not offered an olive branch to African Americans because there was no thought of discussion.
African Americans think the right has good ideas, but make no determined effort to get them into law.
I know in my own state that Mark Sanford has made no direct appeal to African American State Lawmakers.
African Americans are a mix of conservative/liberal on social issues, conservative/liberal on different economic issues, and seem to be for a strong national defense.
African Americans liked Clinton's economic program even though those were Eisenhower's Economic Policies.
They did not like Reagan for most part or at least on TV.
They liked Nixon enough in1960 to vote on the level of 30%.
One final thought, Libertarian Republicans may not like African Americans emphasis on government, but I saw Pat Buchanan on show a long time ago say that African Americans are the only group that need's help of the government.
What level that is today? That is open to discussion
