Obama come's across as a ccntemporary JFK.
Wright come's across as a contemporary Jesse Helms.
Some leaders can translate scripture into workable and inspiring speechmaking.
Some people come across as firebrands like Wright.
Obama is what you might call in public speeking a blue zone speaker. Cool and Cerebral and Idealistic and Careful.
Wright is what you might call in public speaking a red zone speaker. Controversial and derogatory like Jesse Jackson.
I saw this played out in 1984 when the Democrats went for Jesse Jackson en mass then they went after Mario Cuomo over his Keynote Address.
Wright is Red Zone as Reagan was, but Reagan had charisma and appealed to the broad public whereas Wright is slowly, but surely destroying himself and Obama.
Guilt by association.
To quote Paul from the Bible, "I suffer from this thorn in my flesh". I do not know the precise wording of that verse, but Wright is that thorn in Obama's flesh and he's not going to get rid of it.
