Vision. Political Skills. Insight. Genuine. Character. Charisma. Resume. Interpersonal Skills. Persaverance.
All necessary skills needed for management and leadership.
The one that is needed the most and is in short supply is insight.
Insight deal's with current problems. Hindsight deal's with past problems. Foresight deal's with future problems.
How do you get to the root of a problem?
Perhap's a simple saying is where I would start, "Someone might be ensared in the briar patch of simple definitions. Someone might see the world in terms of black and white (absolutes), rather than shades of grey, or more importantly colors.
That statement come's out of a comic book I read 5 years ago.
Its important because when a leader has a narrow view point it can lead to all kinds of problems in business or government.
Its not vision like Kennedy projected, but problem solving along the lines of say Eisenhower.
Break apart a problem in your own mind, on paper, or some intellectually stimulating activity.
Comic Book Writers have great insight into people, issues, and events.
The ability to get at the root of a problem within your own mind's eye.
