No Child Left Behind Act

No Child Left Behind is a law that is a piece of trash.  In that teachers, are forced to teach to test the students.

I have a low opinion of public education to begin with due to my own experience, but that is beside the point.

Our children are forced to work on school related studies all day and into the night without time to do those things that come natural to them like physical activity.

Basically, our children are stressed out and over worked, which is not a good use of a child's time.

Statistics can be bent any number of ways to suit anybody's purpose.

I made Cs and Ds in public school and I have four college degrees.

My point is simple, if your going to train them then train them for jobs in the real world rather than teaching them subjects only two percent of the American Population is ever going to use.

Human Resource Development is a better approach than teaching kids biology, physics, chemistry, trigonometry, english gramar for 12th year in a row.  Most of these subjects are taught because they want you well-rounded and show you everything, but they end up accomplishing nothing.

Finally, the human mind can only absorb 10% of what it see's each day and with kids who usually don't have self discipline its even lower.  Also, we learn 90% of what we are taught through visual learning rather than auditory or hand's on.
